Out with the old, in with the new. CarleneThomas.com is officially switching to a NEW domain name to match the business name : HealthfullyEverAfter.co - Not a typo! Remember it "HEA.CO". You'll also notice a major overhaul on the website. It has less text, and more sparkle. There are more products, downloads and services that are easy to shop and very soon you'll be able to purchase some art prints for your office that...let's just say reflect my love of nutrition and weddings. Oh and if you read the product descriptions, about page etc...it's written in Carlene now. Not clinical dietitian language.
So why the change? Didn't I just update the website in the fall? Answer. Yes. Yes, I did. But as I did a big business planning session a few weeks ago I came to realize that the website didn't fit my goals or how I wanted people to see me. It tried too hard to be 40 years old with too many dry descriptions. While on the blog I share 'me', it wasn't the case with the other pages. And the blog was only a small tab on another site. I put so much into this blog, and it's so much a part of who I am that when a potential client calls me, I tell them to go check out the blog to see if we are a good personality match. So now the blog is front and center with easy navigation to my products.
Another fun change that's coming is my headshot. While the husband is a really, really good photographer, we've learned a lot since we last took those images. And it was time to put on my big girl pants and book a session with a career photographer so I didn't feel like a dork with the husband shooting. I'm so excited to spend time with Genevieve Leiper who is a seriously fabulous wedding photographer in the DC area and often works with some of my favorite local businesses like Events in the City or Holly Chapple Flowers. Did I mention she called me within minutes of my email? And she's hilarious. I love her already.
Unfortunately, with the update not all of the comments have migrated. They should transfer to the new site soon.
So what do you think? Love the new site (Please say yes)- and make sure to update your readers to the new URL!
