Wedding Wednesday: Calorie Free and Flavor Infused
I’ve met brides who despise drinking water…which is a kind of big wedding wellness hurdle. Water gives our skin a picture ready glow. It helps our cells transport important nutrients all over the place. And there are even times when we mistake the ‘thirst’ signal from our bodies as ‘BRIDEZILLA HUNGRY’! So, like I said, water is important.
It’s not just persnickety people who get bored with ‘traditional hydration’. Is it so much to ask for flavor without the added sugar, calories and creepy Red 40? A great solution is flavor infusing your own water. While I love tossing herbs and citrus into my regular waterbottle, the flavor doesn’t really infuse. Enter the AquaZinger: part water bottle, part flavor infuser.
The AquaZinger is a water bottle with a bottom compartment containing blades and a filter to crush and release flavors. Once the base is connected to the water bottle portion, you can refill the container twice for that customized flavor minus swallowing herbs mid sip. These calorie-free, personalized drinks make it easy to hydrate based on mood. Because you’re not limited to fruit, you can explore with vegetables, herbs or even hot tea!

Ready to zing? My one word of warning comes as soon as you’re ready for your first infusion. Double-check the rubber gasket when screwing on the bottom compartment. If it’s not perfectly in line, prepare for a mini leak. Once the industrial design husband played with it, it was good to go.
