Rosé Sbagliato Vermouth Cocktail with Tequila
Rosita Sbagliato : a rose-infused vermouth cocktail with tequila and sparkling rosé wine
I love a two in one recipe. This is the sister recipe to the ‘tequila negroni’ we shared last week, transformed into a sbagliato. A sbagliato is ‘broken’ according to Italian translation. It means a Negroni is a bit messed up by swapping what would be gin for a sparkling wine. Technically, we’ve already ‘broken’ the base Negroni since we used tequila, so we’ll embrace it and make it extra bungled.
If I was hosting a party this summer, I’d serve the original version of the Rosita with an alternative of the Sbagliato version if someone wanted a lighter drink.
The directions for making this cocktail are exactly the sme as the original Rosita, excelt you’ll strain it into a cocktail flute with ice cubes and top with the sparkling rosé. In this specific build, we used Jonc Blanc Bulle Rose 2020, an inexpensive natural wine our local shop carries, but we encourage you to talk to the team at your local natural wine shop to find a great option
You’re going for dry sparkling rosé. You’ll find something that works!
