I realize it's winter and we're posting a golden milk turmeric smoothie recipe. But to be fair, a lot of people do the whole New Year resolution bit and they want smoothies. The reality is we're posting a smoothie recipe because this is one we have come to LOVE regardless of the month. It's a more dessert like smoothie thanks to creamy frozen bananas and peanut butter but packed with wellness adaptogen benefits
You've probably seen a lot of articles on the popularity of moon milks. In fact, you can get our recipe for a peppermint adaptogen mocha or read more about moon milks on mindbodygreen and see my quote in that. As trendy as the adaptogen ingredient bit sounds, I'm incredibly into it when it makes sent. Food totally is medicine but I'm sure as hell not going to eat it and look forward to it if it tastes medicinal.
While my personal smoothie preference is a green smoothie, I would say Chris tolerates the habit. He's more of a fruit forward or almond/peanut butter smoothie kind of guy but he will deal with the green smoothie if it's in hand. This is definitely more a Chris kind of smoothie with Carlene leaning ingredients (golden milk/turmeric).

Golden Milk Turmeric Smoothie
- 1 1/2 peeled, frozen bananas broken into chunks
- 2 teaspoons golden milk mix (Gaia recommended)
- 1 Tablespoon nut butter of choice
- 2 cups vanilla almond milk or milk of choice
- Add ingredients to a high powered blender. Blend until smooth and combined.
