Happy National Registered Dietitian Day! Here are five reasons why you need a RD in your life:

  1. RDs are your healthy eating cheerleaders and coaches. We are here to help you strategize your nutrition plan and cheer you on.
  2. RDs are food sleuths. What makes you feel nauseous? What makes you feel energetic? We'll find it and help you understand the patterns.
  3. RDs are scientists. We only practice evidence based science that is proven to work. No fakes, no frauds, no gimmicks.
  4. RDs are problem solvers. We listen to what works for you and what doesn't. We find what makes you happy and healthy in a realistic way.
  5. RDs are flavor mixologists. Need some guidance in the menu department? Stuck on suggestions for new snacks? No problem.

I'm so impressed with the things Registered Dietitians do each day. From writing books, to making TV appearances (or hosting their own show-Ellie Krieger) and from writing recipes to writing tube feeding orders...each of you are amazing. Thank you for being a Dietitian and I can't wait to join your ranks this spring!
