Healthfully Ever After Wedding Workout Playlist & In the News
One of the reasons I think meeting people from the blog world in person is so important is because of this. This post. Right here. I met the girls from This is Our Jam at an event in DC over a shared love of James Taylor and Earth Wind and Fire. They took my music vibe and turned it into the ultimate workout slash "I'm doing hoodlum things around my house" mix. And now you can listen. By the way, number three is amazing.
I also wanted to share with you guys some really cool things in my life lately.
- I'm really excited to be quoted in the Washington Post's lifestyle section in the Nutrition Q&A column. Check out the online version and if you want to talk about how awesome fiber is, email me. Dietitians love fiber.
- My latest Huffington Post Weddings post just went up and it's something that's not often talked about in marriage: How to deal with the Smother in Laws and stand up for your health. When you get married, you get a second family. Families are obsessed with their food habits and traditions. I would be lying if I said I hadn't had some of the things I mention in the piece happen to me...and my own family dole the same out to the husband. Let me know your thoughts!
- I went to the first ever Mushroom Summit in DC last week hosted by the Mushroom Council. Yes, it exists. I had a really good time listening to the latest in how mushrooms are adapting to food and health trends, but also as supplements and medicine. I'm inspired and will be snagging some of the lesser known varieties at the store next time.
