If you've been following the blog for a while, you know for two years I did recipe development for healthier 'clean cocktails'. Literally, almost 50 cocktails. But now we've decided it's time for something new and that something is cakes. Let me just say, baking is not the same as cooking. I can cook the hell out of something (and obviously now make a really good cocktail), but baking is not so much 'winging it' as it is intensive planning. I'm really excited to start this new series of cakes for Swooned and the first one is up: a green tea matcha frosting between two layers of vanilla cake made with coconut oil (not shortening).
