Blood Orange Ramos Gin Fizz
Blood Orange Gin Fizz Ramos: a fancy, boozy creamcicle of a drink.
While I prefer a spirit forward cocktail with a hint of bitter, there’s something amazing about the visuals of a Ramos gin fizz. The stiff but fluffy head of the cocktail should be sturdy enough you can stick a straw in straight (see above) and if you’re using a straight sided glass, it extends over the top like a soufflé.
If you’re unfamiliar with cocktails, consider this a healthy challenge. Reading the recipe directions will having you so sure the shaking method for separation just won’t work…but it does. Trust the tins. Trust the whipping cream and egg whites.
The blood oranges provide a more raspberry, less acidic juice than standard oranges, making this cocktail tangy but sweet.
