What's in a foodie wedding bouquet?
Last week I posted some of the first photos in from our wedding. In terms of flowers, we went in a different direction from the usual white bouquet. I absolutely love the beauty of produce. Maybe it's the fact that eating, grocery shopping, and learning nutrition consumes my life, but I needed some fresh food at the wedding!
Look closely and you'll see...
- Brussels sprouts
- Baby carrots
- Asparagus
- Purple peppers
- Snap peas
- Green beans
- Cabbage
- Okra
- Sage
- Mint
- Basil
Wrapped in brown butchers paper (plus a newly monogrammed pewter pin from Mom and Dad) and accompanied by my groom's baby carrot boutonniere. My florist was the absolute best and went to the grocery store to hunt for goodies for the arrangement. Talk about above and beyond for an unusual request! I'm so glad I decided to 'go full in' on the dietitian bouquet!
How do you use food to decorate?
