Best Brass Polish: Barkeeper's Friend
I'll be honest… I'm a tidier and not a cleaner. Scrubbing is not my thing. Needless to say, I really love it when I can find a product for cleaning that truly works with minimal scrubbing effort on my part. As you can see in this picture, we have quite the bounty of brass in the house which needs frequent cleaning. From the coffee table to the flower pots and even the fruit bowl, brass is everywhere. What you can't see is that brass tarnishes quickly because of the air, turning dull and yellow. And why can't you see it? Because of Bar Keeper's Friend: the best brass polish I have ever used in my liiiiiiife.
Pre-Bar keeper's friend (some people may know the product as Bon Ami), we would polish brass with a small towel and a tube of semi-chrome. It took forever and you were dirty as sin afterwards. It was all about the elbow grease. Bar keeper's is a totally different story. All you need is a little of the powder and a touch of water to rub onto the brass. Let it sit for a minute and rinse it off or rub off with a damp cloth. Seriously. Look at this brass crab. On the right you see how we bought it from the antique store. On the left is after about 30 seconds and a quick swipe of a cloth. Magic.
Amazing product, highly recommend, check it out. Also, no, BKF has no idea I'm obsessing about the publicly. This is just my honest opinion.
