First Outfit Post: Southern Blog Society at Green Hill Winery
I really love living in Northern Virginia: the land where day drinking wine is completely acceptable (and as a resident, I encourage it for economic stimulation) if you're doing it at one of our dozens of wineries. So when the Southern Blog Society was looking for a location to host our quarterly state (and DC) meet up, I was all over it and suggested Green Hill Winery in Middleburg,VA. I really love Green Hill. It has gorgeous views, a 1700's stone club house, lots of seating and always a sparkling wine option. Me likey the bubbles.
There were about 15 of us from SBS and we all thoroughly enjoyed each other. These girls are a riot. There's nothing catty about them like the vibes you get from some bloggers. And maybe that's what makes Southern blog society so great. You can't replace a kind heart or manners. While we were on location Lacey from A Lacey Perspective did some outfit shots with us… And somehow I was convinced to do my inaugural outfit post. I won't lie. I was a little scared to be doing this in front of seasoned pros.
As a food and lifestyle blogger I feel really odd about posting outfit pictures. It's weird to be in front of the camera instead of moving grapes and walnuts around a cutting board until they're just right. But doing an outfit post has been on my ' to accomplish' list for a while. I love clothes! That's what I Pin and Instagram and Tweet…but actually showing me on the blog is a little nerve wracking. So bear with me as I figure out if outfit posts are something that should appear on Healthfully Ever After more often! I'm interested to hear your thoughts.
