Herbal Infusions Kinfolk Workshop Virginia

There is no shortage of event locations in the DC metro area. But sometimes the best ones aren't advertised at all. For this month's Kinfolk workshop, hosted by Rebecca of A Daily Something, we had dinner and herbal infusion lessons in this private gorgeous barn in Purcellville, VA. Last month's Kinfolk canning and preserving workshop had me raving about these gatherings to everyone who would listen, and the spread Rebecca put on this time was no exception.

The interesting thing about these workshops is the dynamic of people is different every time with attendees from hours away. Admittedly, I clicked more with the group who attended last event, but the husband and I enjoyed talking with the barn owners who are also renovating an old home. Anyone who understands the 'old house owner paranoia' that happens with the change of seasons is solid in our book. We infused vodkas (something you already know we love to do…easy way to add flavor without the calories or junk in pre-mixed vodkas), olive oils and took home a herb infusion of sea salt that I've been using on roasted veggies.
