Beauty Booster Smoothie: Kale Cranberry
What do we think about this healthy beauty booster smoothie series? Is this something you all want to see more of? I'm kind of loving that it's forcing me to use my under used Vitamix and experiment with my arsenal of healthy foods in different ways. Today's is kale based and paired with lots of vitamin c and anti-inflammatories with digestion benefits.
Before we get started, I also wanted to fill you all in that the car search is complete! We are now the proud parents of a Prius C 2: a smaller new version of the usual Prius hybrid. We're talking 52 MPG, nice and short like we wanted, but still with 4 doors. Also, please lord, let me not have to do car shopping for at least another 5-10 years. I was delirious after 4 hours at the dealership and on the verge of curling up under the desk for a nap. Because I'm an adult.
Beauty Booster Smoothie: Kale Cranberry

- 1/2 inch ginger, peeled
- 1 small apple, cored
///Directions///
Add all ingredients to a high powered blender. Process until very smooth.
I wanted to keep this smoothie realistic. It is a very specific shade of olive green. It's not pretty. But it's real. Some smoothies that are touted as healthy have to do a lot of covering color with lots of extra fruit and berries and sugar for taste. But you know what? Berries don't always have to go in a smoothie and WTF is the point of adding table sugar? The taste of this smoothie is AMAZING even if it is slightly ugly. If you love ginger, this is your new bev. And if you need to eat more greens, same goes for you.
