Healthy Boozy Pink Velvet Cake Milkshake
My impulse buys are not like the impulse buys of 'normal people'. And thus the impossible to control happy dance that escaped me when I saw beet powder in the natural foods store down the street will only make sends to A. other dietitians or B. food bloggers. For the majority of you reading this blog, a thousand apologies. Just know beet powder is the coolest thing I've seen in a few weeks.
After posting my find on Instagram, many of you let me know how curious and excited to see what became of the beet powder, so here's the first recipe! This riff on a Red Velvet Cake is dye free. It's tastes like a vanilla cake but it contains 0% fat Greek yogurt (protein!), natural low fat ice cream, cake vodka (Yes, I know. I love it and I'm slightly ashamed.) and beet powder for that gorgeous color!
