Food as Wedding Decor
This weekend I was back in town and able to walk our gorgeous wedding site for this fall. Now that we've secured our location and date, the next step is food and decor.
A wedding is supposed to be your idea of a fabulous party. Of course my idea of a fabulous party is mainly food centered, meaning not only a rocking menu but also food as decoration (but not a dress like above...no walking salad bar). Think outside the box and host a memorable event that will have people talking about it all season. If you're not one for the floral decorations people will just stroll by, pick a different focus to grab your guests' attention. If you love feathers, maybe a feather centerpiece is in your future. Don't want the usual chicken, beef, or vegetarian option sit down dinner? Pass, and scope out caterers that will cater to what YOU want. Right now we are personally in search of a caterer who will focus on local and fresh with a side of fun. To be more specific, my Mother requested someone who will make French Crepes to order.
So if you've got a very foodie event coming up, share the inspiration with a friend and take a look at how you can use food as decoration inspiration.
