This week's four favorites link up is my jam. It was so easy to pick inspiration for the theme "Black Out". My Pinterest is filled to the brim. Really, you can't go wrong with black, especially if whatever it is has solid design. And even though I hate to say this as a typical East Coaster...black is a really, really important closet staple. See item one for reference.

1. Kate Spade is my go to for handbags. My everyday bag is kelly green (seriously) and a similar shape to this new bag: the Cobble Hill Little Murphy. It has a shoulder strap, but I prefer to carry in the crook of the arm. If I was in the market for another handbag, this would be a contender for long term use.

2. Brass, back and white are the basic ingredients to my dream kitchen. I love that the window panes are highlighted by this stark  black. Check out the rest of this house: House on the Hudson.

3. LIttle known fact about me: My ultimate car is a 1960's MG in black with tan leather interior. This old school Mercedes is similar. Look at the lines on that baby.

4. A black front door with brass fixtures and a boxwood wreath. ALL DAY. I can look at this image forever. As we go about pondering paint for the exterior, the black door discussion happens frequently.
